Ambra Senatore and Marc Lacourt’s latest creation takes place on a stage turned into a ballroom dancefloor! The dancers invite children—and parents—to come onstage to build, little by little, a happy moment of shared dance.
As soon as the young spectators enter the room, welcomed into a venue they’re encouraged to discover, begins a slow and exciting build-up. The empty space of the stage slowly fills with bodies and movement, but also with drawings, mysteries, and smiles. Group games and pleasure of taking part in a collective endeavour: the three dancers suggest steps and revisit everyday gestures. All set to music, or in silence! On this dancefloor, it’s not about reproducing a pre-existing choreography: Ambra Senatore and Marc Lacourt would rather have everyone find their own dance, a dance that brings them joy and leads to communion with the others.
In the excitement of the upcoming party, or at the peak of the celebration, all ingredients are there for a collective burst of poetry to manifest itself.
