COL TEMPO
Created in 2020 - Torinodanza festival (Italy)
Ambra Senatore likes to surprise us and take us, with mischief and an ounce of provocation, on tracks, true or false, with which she plays and misleads us on purpose with a good sense of humor. As always in her choreographies, characters emerge, situations and stories unfold. The unexpected discrepancies, the absurd, the diversion of reality, are the ingredients. She does not hesitate to create astonishment, even if it means triggering laughter. Keen observer of the human being, she is constantly attentive, otherness is her second nature and gives full meaning to her dance. This is also why she often breaks the fourth wall by making spectators accomplices, not hesitating to play and challenge some.
Ten years after her first group piece Passo, she embarked on a new creation with the complicity of the performers of the time. She brought together this fine team, well-knit after ten years of sharing, around a generous dance and open to others; a quartet around being together, between questioning our existence and the desire for happiness.
