Zoé Lakhnati
This is la mort

This is la mort

Durée : 45min

In a single dance, Zoé Lakhnati brings forth a multitude of bodies. Inspired by Aby Warburg’s book *L’Atlas mnémosyne*, this solo brings together figures from art history, fictional characters and images drawn from popular culture. From one gesture to the next, a medieval knight gives way to a bodybuilder, then to a sequinned diva or a burlesque spy. By turns glorious, triumphant or entertaining, these characters take shape only to crumble. Costumes fall away, postures waver and tales of glory lose their lustre. Somewhere between humour and burlesque, the figures stumble, change their faces and fall apart before our very eyes.
