D’un lointain si proche

D’un lointain si proche

,

Durée : 50min

Born out of Salia Sanou and Ange Fandoh’s desire to share and develop a common language with nine young Cameroonian artists, *D’un lointain si proche* continues a human and artistic journey that began in Yaoundé and Douala.

Conceived in collaboration with the visual artist Nicolas Clauss, this installation creates a dialogue between poetry and documentary writing, dance and video, music and storytelling. As visitors wander through the installation, voices, images and figures appear, disappear and then reappear.

The figures seem to emerge from the screens, stepping out of the image to inhabit the space and blur the boundaries between near and far, absence and presence. As tangible traces of a collective creation process, stories and cultures seek a common language here.
