Quasimodo aux miroirs

Durée : 1h10

Quasimodo was a constant presence in No Anger’s childhood. Popularised in the 1990s by the Disney film *The Hunchback of Notre Dame* and the musical *Notre-Dame de Paris*, this figure – a rare representation of a disabled body in the collective imagination – sparked in the artist a relationship characterised by identification, rejection and fascination. By putting their own body on the line, they challenge the images and narratives that have shaped their view of themselves. Combining dance, text, video and music, *Quasimodo aux miroirs* explores this ambivalent relationship. It is a way of reclaiming a story long told by others and of opening up new ways of inhabiting one’s body and one’s desire.
