In Salia Sanou’s work, solitude is often found at the very heart of the collective, where the individual comes face to face with the group. With *Trois fois seul*, the choreographer revisits several solos from his Repertoir to extract their essence and rework them for the present. Performed by Ousséni Dabaré, the piece takes the form of an introspective journey guided by the jazz of Carla Bley. In a space stripped back to the essentials, each solo reinvents itself according to the venue, the moment and the audience. A sensitive journey in which movement, nourished by the gaze of the other, is transformed and reveals just how much our stories – even the most intimate ones – bear the imprint of those around us.
