For the Mawu creation
A choreographer and dancer from Nantes with Guadeloupean and Indian heritage, Jade Lada has developed a hybrid, sensitive and deeply embodied choreographic style. Trained at the Conservatoire de Vitry-sur-Seine and later at the CRR in Boulogne-Billancourt, she continued her career as a dancer with the companies La Baraka, Carna and Chute Libre. Her hybrid dance style combines physical power and emotion. In 2017, she founded the Skanda company in Nantes, through which she explores her roots and her diverse heritage. Here, the body becomes a space for memory, expression and transformation.
In residence at the CCNN’s Accueil-Studio programme from 15 to 19 March, a programme supported by the Ministry of Culture / DRAC Pays de la Loire.
Residency showcase on 18 March at 7.00 pm at the CCNN, as part of ‘Jeudi, À l’œuvre’.
