For the creation *Tonitruant*
Loïc Touzé, a dancer, choreographer and teacher from Nantes, has been creating choreographic works, directing films and leading research projects since the mid-1990s. His creations take a wide variety of forms, each offering a different way of presenting dance beyond the confines of mere spectacle. At HONOLULU, a centre for residency, creation and teaching based in Nantes, he also supports the work of other artists and develops numerous outreach projects. Creation, research, teaching and collaborations are closely intertwined in his practice, which is informed by the belief that the act of dancing is an experience of transformation and emancipation.
Teresa Silva, a Portuguese choreographer, dancer and researcher, believes that ‘dance transcends the physical body’. Trained at the Escola de Dança do Conservatório Nacional, the Escola Superior de Dança and the PEPCC at Forum Dança, she has been developing her work since 2008, drawing on numerous artistic collaborations. For her, the experience of the body and movement constitutes a space where practice, performance and transmission converge. Alongside her own creations, she devises projects and formats for engagement that extend this research beyond the stage.
